Terra’s mission is to showcase artists who express the truth they find in life’s spontaneous beauty and the depths of the imagination. With skill and grace, they challenge the spectator’s assumptions and habits of perception: an intimate relationship may be represented by a still life or landscape, a conflict by two flowers, a meditation on generosity by a portrait of an imaginary animal. The hallmarks of their work are technical virtuosity and psychological penetration, without fashionable mannerism.
